Organization Profile

Shisásáy is a non-political, non-religious and non-profit official registered organization. It was founded as a private initiative by Melanie Wohlfahrt in 2006 and lives through the voluntary commitment of the members.
We see ourselves as partners in developmental cooperation for local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and project initiatives. Therefore, we invest in existing projects to encourage local initiatives and employees. A critical factor for us is that all projects are sustainable and that the responsibility lies in the hands of the Cameroon people.

Objectives of the organization

We want to contribute to international understanding and the appreciation of the different living conditions in developing countries and industrialized nations. The living conditions of people in the North West Province of Cameroon should improve through counseling schools and NGOs as well as investing donations sustainable in self-responsible projects.
We believe that only education and initiative can help to overcome poverty. For us it is crucial that the Cameroonians take their future into their own hands to increase quality of living. Therefore, we want to support people to help themselves, and invest in educational projects and awareness campaigns for all age groups.
We believe that effective learning depends upon the surrounding environment. Consequently we promote a healthy and positive learning environment, which enables beneficiaries to participate in the best way in their learning process.
